The moral crisis of our age has nothing to do with gay marriage or abortion; it's insider trading, obscene CEO pay, wage theft from ordinary workers, Wall Street's continued gambling addiction, corporate payoffs to friendly politicians, and the billionaire takeover of our democracy.

Robert Reich

Such a naive quote…that is the nature of the beast, what is the alternative?
Robert apparently has done very well living and working in the capitalist system!

There was an alternative, prior to 1980. Trickle-down economics was the gospel from about 1980 onwards. We are now starting to realise that it was a simple system for extracting money from most of us and giving it to the wealthy. Reich certainly was immersed in that milieu and was part of it (he was Clinton’s Labour secretary), however he has learned more. Just because you were part of the problem doesn’t mean you cannot be part of the solution. Trickle-down has to end.
