The American Empire is not going to be defeated on the battlefield. It is going to be defeated by the spreadsheet. It is going to drown in the compounding interest of its own military addiction. And when the history books are written, they will note that the richest country in the history of the world could not afford to feed its children, could not afford to treat its sick, could not afford to house its poor... but could always, ALWAYS, find another few trillion dollars to blow something up on the other side of the planet. That is not strength. That is a sickness.

And there is a “Budget” proposal for something like an extra 45% budget increase for the USA Military, with tRump saying it is needed because of this supposed “quick” action in conjunction with Netanyahu against Iran. This from someone who was “parading” having been a “peacemaker” who closed down wars and negotiated ceasefires.

A mere $2B on top of his “Beautiful Big Bill” (it certainly is a gigantic bill), which is estimated to cost American taxpayers an additional $1,700,000,000,000 over the next ten years. That’s a 57% increase on the existing $3T deficit, which he promised to pay off completely in his two 4 year occupations. Just one big beautiful lie after another.

Speaking of Trump’s impost on the nation, I saw an article which costed his golf days at ~$102M US so far this term. 442 days in office and 103 of them spent cheating at golf and robbing taxpayers blind.

Extract: In August 2016, during his first presidential campaign, Trump pledged he wouldn’t have much time to hit the greens. “I’m going to be working for you,” he told a rally in Virginia. “I’m not going to have time to go play golf.”
…………….Trump fired 17 inspectors general who served as watchdogs over federal agencies, and he gutted a unit at the justice department that was created in 1976, after Watergate, to prosecute public corruption cases.

This site says his golfing bill is even higher: https://didtrumpgolftoday.com/

      Mark,
I was reading a piece this morning and consistency is not Trump’s long suit. As they said (cannot remember where): Trump will say anything as long as it suits his perception that it will get him through the next 10 minutes. I think that is overstating the time frame.
