The visit of King Charles III to the US has highlighted the galloping incompetence of the loyalist muppets seemingly in charge of everything in the Mango Mussolini’s regime. The District of Columbia mistakenly placed several Australian flags instead of British flags near the White House ahead of King Charles’ U.S. visit, although the error was quickly corrected, a D.C. Department of Transportation official said afterwards. Fifteen Australian flags were briefly included among more than 230 flags put on display to welcome King Charles to the US. They were later replaced by the Union Jack1. Charles apparently had a dig at this gaffe when he mentioned AUKUS in his speech to the US Congress, mentioning Australia by name, and stating that he was also its sovereign.
After this temporary cockup, King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visited on April 30th to Arlington National Cemetery. They paid their respects and laid a wreath and a posy at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the cemetery. It is the final resting place for over 400,000 active-duty service members, veterans and their families. Charles and Camilla were provided with a military entourage, one member of which carried the Union Jack aloft behind them. However, the flag-bearer carried the Union Jack upside down*. Having a national flag displayed upside down is an international symbol of distress2.
This is ironic given that it is the US which is in distress, being run by a criminal, racist, paedophilic kakistocracy, incapable of rational decisions, in the thrall of oligarchs and in part controlled by Israel.
*right way up: Britain’s Flag Institute states that “in the half of the flag nearest the flagpole, the wider diagonal white stripe must be above the red diagonal stripe, as Scotland’s St. Andrew’s Cross takes precedence over Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Cross”3.
